Ireland in 2015: Top performer in the European economy

July 18, 2015

Ireland currently has the best performance Economy in Europe in 2015, with expected GDP growth at 3.6% according to the European Commission spring forecast. Unemployment has fallen to less than 11% this year. The construction industry is growing again, industrial production is strong and consumer sentiment is recovering. The costs of Irish loans are also falling.

And what is the impact of this economic growth for international students and professionals? Opportunities, more opportunities! With more capital circulating in the country, people are consuming more, and new jobs are being created.

Even with the recent changes in Study Visa regulations for long-term English language students, Ireland continues to welcome international students, who can still study and work in the country for up to seven years. Not many people think about the possibility of obtaining a one-year work visa (Graduate Scheme) after graduating in the country (honours degree and postgraduate programmes). However, to study in any Higher Education course in Ireland, students must obtain a certificate of English proficiency, such as IELTS, CAE or CPE.

Study & Work Assist International has a team that will help you to achieve professional success in Ireland, planning where to study English, what Higher Education programme to pursue, and how to obtain professional experience and progress with your career internationally.
